And as I listen to this song, I am reminded of my own struggle with accepting who I am.

And that is how I know I am loved (of course I know that fact from how Jesus died for me), I am cherished, I am beautiful.

Haha “He will rejoice over you with singing”, maybe that’s how I got my singing “genes” from. Whoa. Eh seriously, He is God of all creation, so God must have a fantastic singing voice. Majestic. Powerful. Manly voice. Maybe God’s a tenor??

Haha anyways, back to topic. I know that I am who I am today is all because of what God has done in me and through me. If you had told me 4 years ago that I am beautiful, I probably would’ve dismissed your compliment. Even now, I find it hard to believe that the girl I see in the mirror is really loved and beautiful and amazing. But that is why I need the Holy Spirit and God’s word to constantly renew my mind with His values and His precepts, not this world’s. 4 years ago, I was too afraid to look into the mirror. I was afraid of having to enter the toilet and look at myself in the mirror. Now, no more.

I am beautiful not because of what this world says, but because God has made me so. And everyday, I grow more beautiful on the inside (even though I know I am still so ugly in many ways), and it is because of His grace that I have become who I am.

Which is why I now dare to take pictures, and hahahaha, post pictures of myself. This is God’s work of art you’re staring at. hahahaa.
